We are excited to introduce you to Madi, our incredible Swim School Manager! Madi is one of our many friendly faces here at Gladstone Aquatic Centre.
What is the role of a swim school manager?
A swim school manager is responsible for the entire running of a swim school.
This includes the following roles:
- Team managing
- General administration tasks
- Implementing any new changes – lessons plans, etc.
- Arranging all equipment for swimming lessons
- Ensuring all instructors are running the best swimming lessons possible!
We were lucky enough to chat with Madi & ask her a few questions, here are some of her answers:
Q: What is your role at Gladstone Aquatic Centre?
A: “I started in the Swim School Manager role in September. I started as a Swim Instructor and moved my way up to being a Duty Manager and Pool Deck Coordinator. You will mostly find me in the water or on the pool deck!”
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with Bluefit?
A: “I love the variety of people I get to work with, being customers or colleagues. It is very rewarding being able to watch the children in our program grow and gain confidence through swimming lessons.”
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: “I enjoy spending time around water with my family and dog, or having a chill day with some friends. I also enjoy watching some footy, especially to support my home team, Parramatta Eels.”
