Katie is one of our amazing Duty Managers here at Gladstone Aquatic Centre. She is a big fan of the Drumstick Hokey Pokey ice creams. Katie has been working with BlueFit for over 3 years, but has worked in the industry for even longer! She started out as a lifeguard and absolutely loved the nature of the job. As a result of her hard work and dedication, Katie was promoted to a Duty Manager position.

“I love spending time outdoors in the sun and getting to engage with the community and meet a variety of new people every day.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I love camping and going on adventures to explore new places, especially around the water as I love swimming. I also enjoy painting in my spare time.”
What is the role of a Duty Manager?
A duty manager is responsible for the smooth running of the facility during a shift. Their role includes supervising the staff during their shift and maintaining the pool water quality by completing regular tests.
