Gladstone Aquatic Centre One-Day Closure

Jan 2021 eNews Headers (14)

The Gladstone Aquatic Centre will be closed for one day this Sunday (13 June), while work is carried out to install external pool lights.

Council wants to keep you safe while we deliver new energy-efficient lighting, so in the interest of public safety, there will be no public access to the whole facility.

These works are part of the Gladstone Aquatic Centre Rejuvenation which will deliver a new and improved facility for the region.

Throughout this project, to enable the community to maximise the use of the facility, upgrades have been occurring in stages with public safety in mind.

Regrettably, this closure is necessary. Council apologises for any inconvenience.

Gladstone Regional Council is being assisted to deliver this improved facility for the region with:

  • $1.2m State Government funding, through the COVID Works for Queensland Program, and
  • $1.6m through the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while works are carried out.
