The Gladstone Gladiators Swimming Club held their annual Harbour City Swim Meet at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre. This meet ran across multiple days. Starting on Friday the 20th January and finished on Sunday 22nd of January 2023. The swim meet attracted many competitive swimmers from all over the Central Queensland region (including Mackay, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast). It is an opportunity for swimmers to qualify for the upcoming state & national level competitions, and allows them to improve their personal best results.
As a result of the meet the Gladstone Gladiators placed 5th in their overall point score. With some of the teenagers in the group matching their personal bests.
This is an incredible achievement overall by our swimmers. A massive congratulations to all those that competed! The Gladstone Gladiators Swim Club operates all year round at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre & focuses on long-term development of all swimming levels. During swimming season, the club holds a fortnightly meet on Wednesday nights for its members.
