On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th February, Swimming Queensland held the 2023 Hancock Prospecting Queensland Sprint Championships. One of our inspiring staff members, Shianne, participated in these championships and walked away with a couple of gold medals!
Shianne competed in four different events:
- Open Age 50m Butterfly
- 16 Year Old Girls 50m Freestyle
- 16 Year Old Girls 50m Backstroke
- 16 Year Old Girls Butterfly
Her phenomenal efforts definitely paid off, with her taking out first place for both the Open 50m Butterfly and the 16 Years 50m Butterfly.
Following this, Shianne placed 7th in the 16 Years 50m Freestyle and 16 Years 50m Backstroke.
