Congratulations to three Gladstone Gladiators Swimming Club members, Kane, Shianne and Kai who travelled to Adelaide to compete at the Australian Age Championships!
All three swimmers qualified for many events over the week-long championships and have done the Gladstone Gladiators Swimming club very proud.
Kane competed in 5 events and made three National finals to come away with an 8th in the 200 Backstroke, 5th in the 50 Backstroke and 4th in the 100 Backstroke also finishing with some great personal bests.
Kai competed in three events and made a National final in the 100 Backstroke to finish 6th overall with a massive PB and also making a National B final in the 50 Backstroke.
Shianne competed in three events over the week in the 50, 100 and 200 Butterfly having great swims and coming away with a nice personal best in her 50 Fly.
All three look forward to returning to Nationals again next year along with some of their teammates. The three swimmers will now have a well-earned break away from the pool. Gladstone Gladiators will still be operating over the winter.
